Midsummer Picnic

 The annual Groucho-on-the-Rye midsummer picnic will be held around the plane tree in the middle of Peckham Rye Common on Tuesday June 21, from 7.30pm. Bring whatever you want to celebrate the solstice – food, wine, musical instrument, frisbees, friends... (If wet, in The Clockhouse.)


There are now more than 80 media people in and around Peckham and Dulwich 
signed up to Groucho-on-the-Rye.

June 11:  Local Saxophonist Renato d'Aiello is playing at the Plough at the bottom of Lordship Lane (No 381, opposite Dulwich Library), from 8.30. He continues his twice-monthly Italian jazz night at Ronnie Scott's bar on the 13th, and will be playing every Monday from August 2011 onwards. 

June 24-26 Book Market at the Son Gallery who say: "We have a great list of organisations involved and it will be a great start for a summer of arts and culture here in Peckham. It starts on the Last Friday of June, and it is the official After Party for the South London Art Map's last friday." 

July 31 Deadline for Peckham & Nunhead Free Film Festival's  SE15 Young Filmmakers' Competition for under 25s. See website
