Wednesday, April 11 at The Great Exhibition, from 7.30

Another local pub to have a make-over, the The Great Exhibition is the former Crystal Palace Tavern (CPT, 193 Crystal Palace Road, SE22 9EP), scene of several Grouchos.

The pub is now owned by a Brighton firm that has a number of pubs in London-on-Sea, which is why beers include one called The Laines. This is their second London pub.

Coming soon:

• The Dulwich Festival starts on May 11

• The Bigger Picture, a new film season at the East Dulwich Tavern begins on May 17 with Anonymous.

• Renato d'Aillo is on good form, at Ronnie Scott's every Monday, and now also at the Clockhouse on the last Saturday of the month.
